Module I

Non-surgical periodontal therapy and introduction to microsurgery

Summary:

Effective treatment of patients with periodontitis requires skillful execution of all steps of periodontal treatment: from proper diagnosis, through non-surgical and surgical treatment, to bringing the patient to the maintenance phase. Planning non-surgical treatment of periodontitis should take into account the characteristics, regenerative potential, and esthetic aspects of tissue defects at individual teeth. Why do we begin our project with a two-day course devoted exclusively to the non-surgical phase? The answer is simple: without properly performing this stage of treatment, further surgical and implant therapy may fail.

Module I of the course will teach you the most important theoretical aspects of diagnosis and conscious planning of comprehensive treatment for patients with periodontitis, as well as preparing the patient for subsequent stages of therapy. During these two days, you will build the solid foundation necessary to effectively complete all the remaining modules.
